About

I'm a writer living in Dhaka, Bangladesh — born here, raised here, still here, unlike most of my friends who have fled abroad. I'm at work on my first book, a collection of essays about class, gender, and the texture of contemporary life in modern Dhaka, which is a polite way of saying I have a lot of feelings about this city. I write to find out what I think, which means I am almost always surprised. When I'm not writing, I travel, sing, build LEGO, and obsess over books between long naps.

Selected Work

The Massachusetts Review (Fall 2026, forthcoming)
I also write academically on education, early childhood development and mental health.
